Publisher Square Enix and developer Pokelabo have announced that services for Yoko Taro’s SINoALICE Global will be ending on November 15, 2023. This marks the end of the game’s life in global services since its launch back in 2020.
The Japanese version of the game will continue to run. Other versions of the game, such as places such as Taiwan and Hong Kong, have been shut down since last year. Back then a special ending was created for them where once completed, players would be locked out of the game.
It’s unknown if the global versions will receive this same treatment though. Meanwhile, Square Enix have shared a schedule for SINoALICE as it heads down its end of service path.
On September 1st, which is right now, players can no longer purchase the game’s premium currency, twilight crystals. November 15th is when players may apply for refunds on unspent twilight crystals and use of them will also be discontinued. Of course that’s also when the game’s service ends as well.
This marks another mobile title seeing its end in a region, if not entirely. Other recent examples over the past couple years include Princess Connect! Re: Dive’s global version, Sin Chronicle, The Idolmaster: Cinderella Girls, and Dragalia Lost.
