Zenimax Reaches Settlement on “Redfall” Trademark

When Zenimax and Bethesda Softworks filed a new trademark for “Redfall,” many fans thought the name is the subtitle for their latest Elder Scrolls game, the upcoming Elder Scrolls VI.

We still have no concrete info on the game, however the trademark hit legal trouble – as there’s a long-running book series with the same title. Now, both parties have reached a new settlement on the dispute.

Details for the settlement are not public (and likely never will be), however both parties will no longer bother each other. When considering the likelihood of this being the subtitle for Elder Scrolls VI and revisiting the first trailer for the game, it’s likely the setting for the game is the Redguard homeland of Hammerfell.

While details are scant on The Elder Scrolls VI, the game is in pre-production, while their sci-fi RPG opus Starfield is actively in development and will ship first. Both games won’t be at this year’s E3 either, so we likely won’t be seeing anything from them for awhile.
