To celebrate the 20th Anniversary of World of Warcraft, Blizzard has announced new content for World of Warcraft Classic, Season of Discovery, and Retail versions of the game.
Season of Discovery
Season of Discovery is nearing its end, with the next phase including Naxxramas, new adventures in Deadwind Pass, and of course the Ahn’qiraj raid where players challenge the old god C’thun.
Mists of Pandaria Classic
World of Warcraft Classic is catching up with retail, with players now entering Mists of Pandaria in 2025. It seems like only recently that Blizzard had finally listened to fans by releasing vanilla WoW servers but we’re already back to Mists.
World of Warcraft Classic Part 2?
World of Warcraft is launching a new wave of vanilla servers, giving new players a chance to hop on at the very beginning instead of with the upcoming Mists of Pandaria classic.
The new classic servers will also include Hardcore servers as a new server type in the client, instead of being entirely separated from the rest of the game’s ecosystem.
The new Classic realms will launch on November 21.
The War Within Novellas Narrated by Chris Metzen
Blizzard is releasing novellas that tell the story of what Jaina and Thrall were up to in the events surrounding the latest expansion The War Within. The audiobooks will be narrated by none other than Chris Metzen.
Patch 11.1 Undermined
The next big patch for The War Within will have players visit the enigmatic capital of the goblins: Undermine.
Players will align themselves of one of the four major goblin cartels in Undermine, Steamwheedle, Blackwater, Bilgewater, or The Venture Company.
Warcraft Kart?
The new Undermine patch will include a customizable goblin hotrod that players will unlock. While World of Warcraft has played with customizable mounts, these have been cosmetic changes. The new goblin car will have stats like handling and acceleration
Player Housing
At the end of their presentation, Blizzard teased that player housing will be coming in the upcoming World of Warcraft Midnight expansion.
World of Warcraft is available on Microsoft Windows (through Battle.net). The newest expansion The War Within is out now!
