Welcome back to Waifu Wednesday, Niche Gamer’s column where we talk about characters, their appeal, and a little on their history.

Today’s Waifu is Hiodoshi Ao from hololive DEV_IS, part of the unit ReGloss. For those confused, it’s easier to think of them as a newer hololive generation with a greater focus on music and other group activities similar to idols (moreso than typical hololive).

Hololive ReGloss consists of Hiodoshi Ao, Otonose Kanade, Ichijou Ririka, Juufuutei Raden and Todoroki Hajime.

Ao (affectionately referred to as Ao-kun), is popular for her handsome charm. She has an androgynous appearance, treading the line between silky onee-san and playboy ikemen type, which is something she leans into both aesthetically and for gags now and then.
