Steam has officially launched the new major update for its mobile app on both IOS and Android devices.

Previously the company had only released a limited beta for users to test out the new features. This new update brings with it a major overhaul on many of the features for the mobile app.

The most noticeable thing in the update is changes to the UI, which had been unchanged before since its initial release way back in 2015. Changes to the UI add news features such as customizable tabs as a brand new library view with remote downloads.

Here’s a quick rundown of the new additions via Steam:

Features of the app
  • Two-factor authentication to ensure you’re the only one with access to your account
  • QR code sign in – Scan a QR code to sign into Steam instead of entering a password or…
  • Sign in confirmation – Confirm your regular Steam sign ins with simple “approve” or “deny”
  • Authorized Devices – Manage access to the devices your account has signed in
  • Easy access to the Store, Community, News, etc from wherever you are
  • Your Library with access to your game content, discussions, guides, support, and more
  • Remote download of games and updates on your PC, managed from your phone
  • Customizable Steam notifications: wishlist, sales, comments, trades, discussions, friend requests, and more
  • Trade and Market confirmations – to ensure items don’t leave your account without your approval
  • An improved Store browsing experience for mobile screens
  • Support for using multiple Steam accounts in the app
  • Customizable tabs

Valve even dropped a video detailing the recent changes, which you can view below:

There are also more planned features on the way, such as adding the ability to sign in via QR code for Steam Deck, new notification types, and bringing the authorized devices list to the client and browser versions as well.
