• Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise tops $1 billion in sales

    Sega and Paramount Pictures have announced the live-action Sonic the Hedgehog film franchise has topped $1 billion in cumulative sales.

    The new milestone comes not long after the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie was just premiered on December 20th, 2024 exclusively in theaters.

    The original live-action Sonic the Hedgehog movie premiered back in February 2020. The second live-action Sonic the Hedgehog film premiered in April 2022, and a live-action spinoff mini-series focused on Knuckles the Echidna premiered in April 2024.

    In related news, Sega and Paramount Pictures have confirmed a Sonic the Hedgehog 4 movie.
