Knuckles TV series gets first trailer and premiere date

Knuckles TV series

Paramount Pictures has finally shared the first trailer for their Knuckles TV series, starring Idris Elba as the legendary echidna warrior.

As covered in our previous report, the new series stars Elba as Knuckles who is focused on training Wade Whipple “the ways of the echidna warrior.”

Here’s the first trailer:

While the scruffy underdog cop Wade has Adam Pally reprising the role alongside Tike Sumpter as Maddie, Sonic the Hedgehog co-star Tom Wachowski (James Marsden) is absent from the series.

Supporting cast includes Edi Patterson (The Righteous Gemstones), Julian Barratt (Mindhorn), Scott Mescudi (Don’t Look Up), and Ellie Taylor (Ted Lasso), all of whom will reappear throughout the series. Rory McCann (Game of Thrones) is guest starring.

Director on both the live-action films, Jeff Fowler, directed the pilot episode and also serves as executive producer on the series. Paramount Pictures and Sega of America are co-producing the series.

A premiere for the Knuckles TV series is now set for April 26th.
