The much-awaited Nintendo Switch 2 (hopefully it will have a better name at launch) is expected to finally be available in early 2025.

According to unnamed sources from VGC, while Nintendo had reportedly been planning on a late 2024 launch (likely for the Christmas season) fans will have to wait a few more months instead.

Rumors of the Switch 2 have been floating around for years, but those rumors became even louder following a rumored demo of the Switch 2 hardware during Gamescom 2023.

Another rumor claims that the Switch 2 will have an 8 inch display, a big step up from the OG Switch’s 6.2 (and the OLED’s 7).

Details about the Switch 2 are still being closely guarded by Nintendo, and not much has been formally announced at this time. We’ll keep you up to date as we learn more.
