The community manager for Palworld developer PocketPair confirmed that they had been sent death threats and other “outlandish” emails in recent days.
In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), PocketPair community manager “Bucky” explained that while they’re grateful for emails from fans and critics alike, they’ve received “death threats, threats to the company and massively outlandish claims”.
Frantically working through all my DMs and emails!
I promise! 😓…However, you'll excuse me if I skip over the death threats, threats to the company and massively outlandish claims…
If you're capable of writing like an actual human being though, I'll reply asap! 🙇♀️

There’s plenty of fair criticism to be had about any game (any media for that matter!) but what doesn’t help anyone is death threats.
While it’s difficult not to compare Palworld to the popular monster collecting franchise Pokemon, critics have gone as far as to take tweets from the developer out of context and make claims that the game was made with AI (artificial intelligence) without proof.
Palworld was just released on January 19th, for Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. The game is also on Xbox Game Pass.
