Well, that didn’t take long. Microsoft confirmed a new Conker game of sorts for the Xbox One game, Project Spark, which promptly got Conker fans excited at the possibility of a standalone, true Conker game.

We’ve learned (via Gamespot) that such a game is currently not in development, but the potential for a new game is not off the table. “Rare is building something else; Spark community is creative,” Spencer said on Twitter. “I’m looking forward to seeing what they build with the Conker assets.”

He continued: “We didn’t say never; it’s just not being worked on right now by Rare or any other studio.” In November of last year, Spencer teased a new game that he saw and played at Rare’s studio. “Got to play the new Rare game today,” Spencer said. “Rare building a uniquely Rare game, as it should be. Great visit to the studio.”

While a new Conker game is somewhat of a longshot at this point, we’ll keep you guys posted.
