This leadership announcement promises interesting developments from this Web3 company, especially in the context of their ongoing business relationships.
By harnessing the technological insight behind Guitar Hero and the AR infrastructure behind Pokemon Go, this company seems primed to offer the most likely path forward for a musical metaverse.
Unfortunately for many web3 skeptics, NFTs are bound to play a role in this business venture, especially when you consider how eagerly musicians and their labels have embraced the tech as a replacement source of revenue lost from physical media sales and cancelled tour dates.
Still, some of the more reasonable NFT haters have to admit that music related NFT projects offer much more potential than ugly JPEGS. Personally speaking, I don’t own any NFTs— although I’m far more interested in owning one from an artist or band I enjoy that can provide better compensation than the fractions of a penny earned through streaming revenue.
