Last of Us developer Naughty Dog lays off contractors

Naughty Dog, the developer behind The Last of Us and Uncharted has reportedly laid off dozens of contractors in the wake of industry-wide layoffs.

According to Kotaku, Naughty Dog has terminated their contracts with approximately 25 developers. This is happening amid widespread industry layoffs affecting companies such as Epic games.

While the layoffs have reportedly impacted multiple departments, Quality Assurance has been disproportionately impacted. This could mean more bugs and less features due to a lack of testing and programming support.

This spells more bad news for the anticipated The Last of Us multiplayer which had already been scaled back a few months ago.
