• Konami confirms 30FPS for Metal Gear Solid on Master Collection Vol.1

    The official site for the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol.1 has been updated with a chart detailing how the three games will run.

    The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 is set to release October 23, 2023, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows (through Steam).


    The chart states that Metal Gear Solid will output at 1080p on all consoles and PC, except for the Nintendo Switch’s Handheld mode, which will output at 720p. The game will run at a capped 30 frames per second on all platforms.

    Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater will fare a little better, running at 60 frames per second on all platforms, except the Nintendo Switch, which will run at 30 frames per second on both TV mode and Handheld mode.
