Nintendo has confirmed Kirby and the Forgotten Land is now the best-selling game in the long-running franchise.

The company revealed the latest adventure for the pink blob has managed to sell over 5.27 million copies worldwide in their latest financial report.

This would put it above the previous highest seller in Kirby’s Dream Land, which is estimated to have sold 5.13 million units.

It’s no surprise that Kirby and the Forgotten Land has managed to accomplish this feat. The game already became the fastest selling title in the franchise when it reached 4 million in just a mere 15 weeks.

Things are certainly looking up for Kirby, who also saw yet another release this year with Kirby Dream Buffet. They’ve also announced Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe, which is slated to release on February 24, 2023.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land was launched exclusively on Nintendo Switch back on March 25, 2022. You can check out our full review of the game here.
