Final Fantasy XIV has launched their special site for the upcoming patch 6.5 “Growing Light”.

For major content patches, Final Fantasy XIV releases a special site in the weeks before it goes live to show off all the new content being added to the game. This gives players a sneak peak at what’s to come while showing off some of the cool artwork and character design.

The upcoming patch 6.5 is especially exciting since the x.5 patches tend to be the last major content patches before an upcoming expansion. Though it’s bittersweet since there’s usually a long gap between x.5 and the next expansion. In this case Dawntrail, which was announced earlier this year isn’t expected until Summer 2024.

The upcoming patch “Growing Light” is expected to finish the Gods of Eorzea Alliance Raid storyline, as well as continue the story of Zero and the fourteenth reflection. Final Fantasy XIV is also adding a new Criterion Dungeon, a new category of 4-man content introduced a few patches ago.
