Final Fantasy XIV is finally coming to Xbox consoles

Final Fantasy XIV

Square Enix has announced Final Fantasy XIV is finally making its way to Xbox consoles at this year’s Fan Fest.

While details are scant, the MMORPG is finally coming to Xbox consoles, likely due to Xbox boss Phil Spencer never giving up. A release is set for spring 2024, and an open beta is scheduled to come prior to its release.

Final Fantasy XIV will be releasing for both Xbox Series X and S consoles, though Square Enix said the Series X version will naturally have better loading times and 4K resolution support.

The game’s latest expansion – Dawntrail was also announced, with a release set for Summer 2024. The full version of the game, including its new 7.0 expansion, Dawntrail, will be playable on Xbox.

Final Fantasy XIV is available now for the Playstation 4, Playstation 5 and Microsoft Windows (through Steam). You can check out our review of the latest expansion Endwalker here.
