The Final Fantasy VII world will expand even further beyond the existing franchise and releases, news teased by game producer Yoshinori Kitase in a new interview.
The news that the Final Fantasy VII world will expand comes from Kitase in 4Gamer’s big end-of-year round up of interviews with various developers.
“The world of Final Fantasy VII, which has been relaunched with the Final Fantasy VII Remake will continue to expand in 2022,” Kitase said.
The Square Enix producer then went to tease the first “expansion” of the Final Fantasy VII world with the recently released Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.
“First of all, Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier, which challenges the fusion of RPG and battle royale, is now running to rave reviews!,” he said. “Please enjoy this battle as a soldier candidate!”
