Square Enix have released the final gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade; including new bosses, summons, and minigames.
As previously reported, Intergrade is the PlayStation 5 version of the game; featuring improved graphics, performance modes, haptic feedback via the DualSense controller, Classic Mode on normal difficulty, a Photo Mode, and an additional campaign with Yuffie dubbed EPISODE INTERmission.
The new trailer shows some of the older bosses, along Weiss as a new boss in the VR simulator, and scenes from INTERmission. Therein, we see the Fort Condor strategy minigame has become a literal board game within the world of Remake, with players sending monsters to destroy thee of their opponent’s three condor nests.
We also see Scarlet along with Nero the Sable from Dirge of Cerberus as bosses in INTERMission, and the Ramuh summon being available. One of Yuffie and Sonon’s team-up special attacks is also shown. The console exclusivity on Intergrade for PlayStation 5 is noted as being “at least six months.”

Famitsu also reports (translation: DeepL) that during the FS livestream, Director Tetsuya Nomura explained the second part of Final Fantasy VII Remake will have “Cloud running in the wilderness.” Not only is this likely to mean the rest of the world will be explored, but that it could be more open world and without an overworld map, much like Final Fantasy XV.
The story also picks up right after Intergrade. Nomura also states development is progressing well. The Famitsu writer also notes that Scarlet’s mech resembles Proud Clod, a boss in the original Final Fantasy VII and a prototype appearing as a VR boss as Pride and Joy Prototype. They openly ponder what other hints at the future will be seen in Intergrade.
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade launches June 10th on PlayStation 5. Final Fantasy VII Remake is available on PlayStation 4. In case you missed it, you can find our review here.
