• Final Fantasy VII Rebirth won’t require playing the first game

    Square Enix is letting out more teaser tidbits for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the next confirms players can start from the second game.

    The new teaser, from co-director Motomu Toriyama, confirms the game willl have a recap of some kind for users that haven’t played the first game.

    “We have made preparations so that players who did not get a chance to play the first game can fully enjoy Final Fantasy VII Rebirth,” co-director Motomu Toriyama said.

    A previous teaser noted the game’s development is “progressingly smoothly” and they’re actually looking to nail a release date right now.

    Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to launch sometime in winter 2023 for PlayStation 5.
