NIS America have announced the launch of a demo for Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny; along with a contest to deal the most damage.
As previously reported, the Netherworlds across the multiverse are being destroyed by the God of Destruction; a being that appears without rhyme or reason and devastates all in its wake. Yet, a young zombie boy called Zed waltzes into the Darkest Assembly, and claims to have defeated it. While Overlord Ivar doubts his capabilities, the secret may lie in Super Reincarnation.
The demo will include the first two chapters, and allow fans to carry their progress into the full game. Digital pre-orders are now available. You can find the demo trailer below.
The new demo also comes with the “A HL of a Lot of Damage Demo Contest” competition for residents of the US or Canada (HL, or “Hell,” is the currency of the Disgaea games). Players are tasked with taking a snapshot of the highest damage they can deal, with the top three winning a limited edition Plump Prinny plushies.
The grand prize is a Custom Plump ‘Zed’ Prinny Plush (based on the protagonist of Diagaea 6, pictured below in the center), while two runners up will get the Plump Hero Prinny Plush. The competition closes June 29th at 11:59 p.m. PDT.
The series is famed for its high damage numbers, as players are encouraged to power-level their characters to astronomical heights, and enhance them even further with powered-up weapons and enhancing their base stats via reincarnation. Disgaea 6 boasts being able to hit level 99,999,999; with max HP and damage reaching over 99 quadrillion.
In earlier news, NIS America detailed some of the new classes coming to Disgaea 6: Defiance of Destiny, along with confirming the Hololive DLC will be coming to the west and for free. Our prior concerns about censorship also seem to be abated, with a rather busty character class with deep cleavage being uncensored.
