Recently the Bioshock franchise saw its 15th year anniversary, as the original game came out back in 2007. So what better time than now for Netflix to announce some of the staff working on the Bioshock film that was first announced back earlier this year?
Netflix announced that Francis Lawrence will be the director for the project. He is best known for his directing work on I Am Legend and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. Writing the script will be Michael Green, who has written works such as Logan, Blade Runner 2049, and American Gods.
This is far from the only project Netflix has in the works as an adaptation of a video game. Recently the company announced an animated series for Dragon Age as well as a follow up for their Castlevania series.
They have also recently released a live action television series for Resident Evil, which got bombed in the ratings by fans. However this doesn’t seem to deter them as they continue creating adaptations based on video games. Netflix has also confirmed work towards releasing video games themselves on their platform.
