Not content to enjoy the happy family, some users took to Twitter to voice their discontent while others saw an opportunity to score points in the constant back and forth of internet discourse.
Some users, were disappointed as Bayonetta has been adopted as something of an LGBT+ icon due to her flashy and flirtatious style, despite little canon interaction to justify it.
Conversely, other users celebrated the canon pairing in a fitting way with Shinzo Abe memes.
Lastly some users, were understandably sick of the discourse.
