Baldur’s Gate 3 patch fixes crotch kisses for gnomes and halflings

Baldur's Gate 3

Baldur’s Gate 3 has dropped their first big patch after the game’s official release.

While the game spent years in Early Access, unfortunately nothing can replace the sheer brute force of hundreds of thousands of players to test your game. This means players are dredging up all the bugs that went unnoticed during development.

The update includes fixes for bugs that range from game-breaking to minor glitches that have been memed over the past couple weeks. Chief among the latter, is how gnome and halfling characters will sometimes kiss their companion’s crotches during scenes where taller races might have kissed their face… as was intended.

Some players may lament that the smaller races no longer go straight for oral satisfaction with their romantic partners, but at least it preserves immersion.

Another change based on player feedback is some dialogue options were clarified. For instance, during a possibly romantic scene with Gale your only two options were to either fantasize about kissing him, or kicking him in the head. There wasn’t really a lot of nuance there.

You can find a full list of the fixes and adjustments here.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is available now on Windows PC (via Steam) and is coming to PS5 on September 6th, with an Xbox Series X|S port coming later. Check out our review for the game!
