We are announcing that the fourth annual Niche Gamer Community Game of the Year Poll for 2020 is now open!

No matter who you are, one way or another 2020 kinda sucked. But in gaming, we saw some great video games. While discussions among staff about our Game of the Year and Indie Game of the Year rage on, we want to hear from you!

As we did last year, all the games that scored an 8 or higher in our reviews for games released this year have been included. We have also made separate categories for indies, and remasters and ports. We’ve also included some games that didn’t quite make the threshold that have been highly praised by its fans (and one we do not understand…)

Previous Niche Gamer Community GOTY winners include NieR: Automata (2017), Monster Hunter: World (2018), and Devil May Cry 5 (2019).

UPDATE: The poll was originally set to close February 28th. We have adjusted the closing time to a more reasonable length to ensure the results are announced in a timely manner, while still giving everyone a voice.

The poll will run until the end of January 24th, and we will reveal the community GOTY result soon after, alongside our own. You can vote for your Community Game of the Year 2020, Indie GOTY 2020, and Best Port / Remake for 2020 below!
