Prince of Persia Remake for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 Listed by Online Retailer

Prince of Persia Remake

A store listing for a remake of Prince of Persia has appeared online, and hinted at as genuine by games journalist Jason Schreier.

The listings allegedly appeared on a Spanish-language version of Max.com, though we are still seeking an archive of the webpages. Twitter user @KenXyro captured an image of the search page, showing the games are supposedly coming to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

Games journalist Jason Schreier added to the leak’s credibility; tweetingVideo game retailers sure love leaking Ubisoft’s surprise announcements.” While this may have been referencing how in July Far Cry 6 was leaked ahead of its reveal by the Hong Kong PlayStation Store, Schreier later tweeted “This tweet won’t age well lol” in reply to another Twitter user who doubted the listing was genuine.

Schreier may have contacts who he believes are credible when it comes to this information. If true, it is likely this was set to be revealed at the supposedly upcoming Ubisoft Forward presentation in September. Exactly which Prince of Persia title is being made is unknown, though the art may indicate it is one of the 3D titles since 2003.

Most recently, Taiwan’s game ratings board has leaked a Nintendo Switch port of Grasshopper Manufacture’s No More Heroes. Ubisoft published it and its sequel No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle in North America. XSEED Games published Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes in North America, while developer Grasshopper Manufacture is publishing No More Heroes III worldwide.

We will keep you informed as we learn more.
