15 year old genius still has time for video games

Mike Wimmer

College graduate Mike Wimmer graduated from Carolina University this Spring with a degree in Computer Science. Unlike most of his fellow graduates, Mike Wimmer was only 14 years old at the time.

According to CNBC, Wimmer not only managed to graduate from college approximately 8 years earlier than his peers, he also runs two tech start-ups, and also holds a “Class A License” in the racing simulator game iRacing.

When it comes to gaming, racing seems to be his passion. In August he went to see the Gran Turismo movie.

Wimmer’s two companies Reflect Social and Next Era Innovations. Reflect Social combines “Internet of Things” devices with social media, meanwhile Next Era Innovations is a little more opaque in what they actually do.

Along with his company Next Era Innovations, Wimmer has been contracted by the United States military since 2019 (that would put him around 10 or 11 years old).
