The 1994 OVA of You’re Under Arrest (Taiho Shichau zo) is getting an HD Blu-Ray release next year.

The series follows two female officers of the Bokuto Police Department, Miyuki Kobayakawa is a gearhead who tinkers with custom vehicle mods as a hobby, meanwhile Natsumi Tsujimoto is a hotblooded tomboy who gets into trouble and pushes Miyuki’s modified vehicles to their limits.

Alongside the pair is a supporting cast of characters including Yoriko Nikaidou, a dispatcher who’s probably most well-known in the west for the “eto… bleh” meme.

You’re Under Arrest was created by manga artist Kousuke Fujisawa who’s perhaps best known as the creator of Oh! My Goddess!

For now, the Blu-Ray appears to be Japan only, but we’ll be keeping our eye out for an English subtitled release, most likely meant for the Asian market. For those who don’t know, Asia regional releases may have English subtitles, even if the series hasn’t been licensed by sites like Crunchyroll.
