Yandere Simulator is Banned From Twitch

PVgaR3S

The list of prohibited games from the popular streaming service is growing ever larger, as Yandere Sim joins its ranks.

This particular case is rather head scratching for two reasons.

For starters, their has yet to be reason given as to why the game was banned and secondly, this decision was done quietly and without informing the developer of their decision, and that he only learned of the decision through a friend.

The developer is hoping to get into contact with Twitch, in hopes of getting an actual reason on why the game was banned from the website.

    It’s the kiddnapping thing, probably.
    Or mock suicide.
    Or murder of innocents.
Or sexual obsession with stalking Senpai.
    Or stalking.
It could be any of these, but we all know the real reason it was banned

    I have two theories.
    First : because reasons.
Second : because you know, people can’t think for themselves, you have to tell them what is right to see, and what is not. Because obviously gamers can’t differenciate games from reality, so it’s bad for the integrity of the whole planet.

When you look at the list of games banned, you notice a pretty obvious trend. Outside of maybe two or so games, everything is clearly japanese or japanese-inspired.

Though I do find it absolutely hilarious that Criminal Girls is on the list. All that work “localizing” the game so that people wouldn’t be offended by it is wasted since the concept alone puts off anyone who wasn’t going to buy it to begin with. Who would have thought?

I was watching a GTA game, 4 or 5 (I think the former) on twitch, and I remember seeing an NPC’s willy during a cutscene. Literally the whole thing. Nothing was hidden, and his long meaty dingus was dangling. I knew that if it got erect, it would stand tall, but anyway. I PERSONALLY felt disappointed with myself, to see that a collection of polygons/triangles possessed a bigger johnson than myself. I was just wondering to myself why couldn’t this character have a shaft that was representative of the average size? I honestly thought it was a dick move for the developers to portray a man like that. It’s a shame that objectification of men like that is prohibited on Twitch, but something as non controversial as a high school girl (whom is in her second year which is 16 years old) gets blocked from Twitch.

There’s plenty of sexualized violence. Buy a hooker, and kill her. Censoring is wrong, and there’s no justifying it. And it’s also a video game, it’s not real. If children can die, be raped and involved in mature story lines on tv or in the movies, games should be no different. It really makes no sense.

Twitch is a private company and probably they don’t want to be seen as propagators of sexualized violence towards underaged people.
I wouldn’t censor anything, if you ask me, but I understand their move.

Buying a hooker and killing her isn’t something that GTA revolves around (while murdering defenseless students is a prominent feature in Yandere Simulator). And it’s not too brutal (really, those new games from the series should get some 16+ rating). And, finally, it isn’t about pubescent people.

If it were a photorealistic children raping and mutilating simulator, nobody would complain about the ban. Why? “Everyone has their own tastes”. But you know, Twitch doesn’t want to be associated with controversial things and it’s their decision. And hell, sexualized dead bodies of adolescents are controversial.

I don’t even get what your point is. I feel like you’re verbally spamming me.

The point is that it’s their business and they can do what they want. And it’s perfectly obvious why they ban the game. It seems messed up as hell.

it’s not perfectly obvious why they banned the game, otherwise the creator of the game would know why it was banned. this game seems messed up to you but going around killing people in GTA, CoD, FO4, and most of the other big name games seems ok to you? do you even understand what you’re saying?

In those games you have a better motivation for killing. And it isn’t done in pair with perverted acts.
The context greatly matters. In Hatred we got an as.shole that murders innocent people. That is perceived negatively, but if both sides have weapons, like in CoD, it’s not controversial at all. You can’t equal one killing to another.

What about GTA, where you get to bang prostitutes and kill innocent people too?

Banging isn’t bad per se, and killing innocent people? I’m not sure, I didn’t play many GTA games but in those which I played innocent people were just a part of the background, killing them wasn’t a prominent game mechanic.

So if this game was about banging young chicks then it would be ok, since banging isn’t bad. Gotcha. Even though you argue against it, you’re into some pretty perverted stuff, huh? :^)

I wouldn’t endorse a game about banging, that being said it would be more cheesy than psychotic. By “bad” I meant “evil”, by the way.
