Hot on the heels of Sony increasing pricing on PS5 once again, Microsoft has announced sweeping price increases for their Xbox consoles and select first-party games.
The new price increases will see the price of the Xbox Series X go up a whopping $100 while the Series S will go up $80, as well as select first-party Xbox games getting a price increase to $80. Xbox accessories and peripherals will get price increases, too.
“We understand that these changes are challenging, and they were made with careful consideration given market conditions and the rising cost of development,” Microsoft said in a statement. “Looking ahead, we continue to focus on offering more ways to play more games across any screen and ensuring value for Xbox players.”
