Microsoft is working on an Xbox next-gen console, despite recent rumors the company was seemingly going third-party and abandoning their traditional hardware.
The company recently held a special Xbox podcast where they confirmed 4 unannounced games are coming to other platforms – none of which are Starfield or the new Indiana Jones game.
In the same podcast Xbox leadership confirmed an Xbox next-gen console is already being developed, and it will have the “largest technical leap” in a single hardware generation.
“We’re also invested in the next generation roadmap,” Xbox president Sarah Bond said. “And what we’re really focused on there is delivering the largest technical leap you will have ever seen in a hardware generation, which makes it better for players and better for creators and the visions that they’re building.”
Further details on the Xbox next-gen console weren’t shared, however Bond did let slip that they have a reveal for the new console(s) planned for “this holiday.”
