Woah Dave! is an ultra retro-styled game that has been confirmed for Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita.

The indie team at Minivisions, Inc. is a sublabel of the indie publisher Choice Provisions, a collaborative effort that has seen other incredible games like Bit.Trip Runner from Gaijin Games. You can get an overview for Woah Dave! above. However, you shouldn’t let the game’s extreme retro style throw you off, it’s a focus on pure unadulterated fun.

The game features the ordinary protagonist, Dave, who has decided to take it upon himself to save this city from a ruthless alien invasion. The aliens have curiously decided to simply drop the eggs of their broodlings, in lieu of a traditional alien invasion with adult aliens or something. Dave has to pick up the eggs and the equally strange glowing skulls and throw them at the other aliens, if he wants to be successful.

Woah Dave! has local multiplayer on the Playstation 4, but unfortunately you’re going to have to wait, as a release date was not mentioned. The game is also coming to 3DS, iOS, Android, Ouya, and PC via Steam, just in case you weren’t sure which platform to get the game on.
