The ongoing manga series What I’d Like to Do with That Gloomy Girl (Kurai Anoko to Shitai Koto) continues with volume 5 releasing next month.

The series is the breakout success of writer and artist Manatsu Ikari, and the series has reportedly been recommended by Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out creator Take.

What I’d Like to Do with That Gloomy Girl follows the story of a young boy in high school who has fated encounters with the gloomy girl in his class. Together, the two become deskmates and even class representatives, leading to them spending more time together.

The series began back in 2021 and is published by Dragon Comics Age.

An official English release has yet to be announced. Volume 5 releases in Japan on September 9.
