Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out is going on indefinite hiatus as the creator recovers from the effects of COVID-19.

In a tweet, the official account for the series announced Takashi Aoshima the creator of the series was recovering from the disease. In a follow-up tweet on his personal account, he said that while he’s nearly recovered physically, he’s experiencing after-effects and cannot find the energy to work on the series.

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out is popular with fans for its light-hearted comedy, romance, and fanservice with its curvy heroine. However that latter reason has led to criticism from western critics who take issue with fanservice and exaggerated proportions in anime.

Unfortunately this has led to threads and mean-spirited replies from Twitter users.

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out is available to watch now on Crunchyroll.

A basement-dwelling ogre, Brandon's a fan of indie games and slice of life anime. Has too many games and not enough time.
