Watch Dogs was originally planned as a launch title for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, but it has subsequently seen delays and has remained a tentative release, that is until now.
Ubisoft revealed they have plans to release the game between April and June of this year in their third quarter earnings report.
“Fiscal 2014-15 will see an exceptional games line-up, with the release of five major titles including Just Dance, The Crew and Watch Dogs, which is scheduled for release in the first fiscal quarter,” Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said.
In a conference call after the publishing of the report, Ubisoft confirmed that the game is still coming to Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and PC. However, Ubisoft confirmed that the game is being delayed on Wii U.
“We made the difficult decision to further delay the release of Watch Dogs on Wii U to focus the team’s resources where they could have the broadest possible benefit for both our customers and Ubisoft,” Guillemot said.
