It’s appears that the Fallout TV series has began production as previously teased. At this point, it has been two years since the initial announcement of the series based on the popular RPG franchise.
Previously Walton Goggins was confirmed to be among the cast for the Fallout TV series, but his role was unknown at the time. It was rumored he would be playing a ghoul.
For those unaware of the lore from the games, ghouls are mutated humans that got prolonged exposure to radiation, as the story is set in post-nuclear war America.
Now it has been confirmed by Goggins himself, via his Instagram, that he will indeed be playing a ghoul as originally speculated.
“Day 1… FALLOUT… for Amazon. Deep breath…. Exhale… Let’s see where this road goes want too,” Walton teased on the post.
His statement of “day 1” also likely confirms that production, and even perhaps filming, of the TV series has begun. Images of the set for the series have already been leaked online. While no cast members are shown in it, they do show a locale that would easily fit within the games.
The Fallout TV show will presumably be exclusive to Amazon Prime video – as it is a joint venture between Bethesda, Amazon Studios, and Kilter Films.
