Gaijin Entertainment’s vehicle-focused online multiplayer game War Thunder has just received its next big update.

Featured above, the new trailer introduces the new 1.81 update, dubbed “The Valkyries,” which mostly adds helicopter gunships to the game.

The first wave of attack helicopters start in the fifth tech level of the Soviet and American trees, and include the AH-1Z, AH-1G, AH-1F, UH-1B, UH-1C, UH-1C XM-30, Mi-4AV, Mi-24A, Mi-24V, Mi-24P, Mi-24D, and Mi-35M. The launch trailer, featured above, provides more details on attack helicopters and how they work.

If helicopters aren’t your thing then you can try out one of the new tanks or IFVs instead, including the M1 IP, the Leopard A1A1 L/44, T-80B, T-55AM-1, and Char 25t, to name a few. There’s a pair of experimental WWII aircraft as well in the form of the Soviet I-225 and German Me 163 B.

Finally, the update adds two new maps: “Vietnam” for air battles, and “American Desert” for mixed battles. You can check out the full patch notes here.
