Ubisoft is pulling online support for more older titles on PC and consoles

Ubisoft

Ubisoft has announced further plans to pull online support for 15 more of their titles on Steam and the seventh generation titles.

Listed below are the Ubisoft games that will be losing online support and access to the Digital Deluxe content:

Anno 2070 PC
Assassin’s Creed II PC | PS3
Assassin’s Creed 3 (2012) PC | Playstation 3 | Wii U | Xbox 360
Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood PC | PlayStation 3 | Xbox 360
Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD PC
Assassin’s Creed Revelations PlayStation 3 | Xbox 360
Driver San Fransisco PC | PlayStation 3 | Xbox 360
Far Cry 3 (2012 Release) PC | PlayStation 3 | Xbox 360
Ghost Recon Future Soldier PlayStation 3 | Xbox 360
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands PC
Rayman Legends Wii U | PlayStation 3 | Xbox 360
Silent Hunter 5 PC
Space Junkies PC (HTC VIVE, Oculus)
Splinter Cell: Blacklist PC | PlayStation 3 | Xbox 360
ZombiU Wii U

This is not the first time this year that Ubisoft has pulled online support from their games. We previously reported on the shutdown of older titles as well, so this appears to be a continuing process.

With each of these games losing access to online services and some, such as Splinter Cell Blacklist losing access to DLC content, this further raises the questions about ownership of digital goods.

We also reported earlier today that Playstation owners have also lost access to their purchases Studio Canal films – another concern over whether or not you actually own digital games or goods.
