Ubisoft was bombarded with criticism users posted video online revealing an advertisement suddenly appearing while playing one of their Assassin’s Creed games.

The Twitter post contained a video of the event, which showed a full-screen takeover ad in the middle of gameplay:

The official Assassin’s Creed Twitter account confirmed the issue was a “technical error”, which some will certainly find hard to believe:

The post had additional context noting that this event has happened before in the past with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey:

Even so, many were skeptical of the “bug”, as some claimed a system would have to be made for such a thing to even happen.
