Though it shows no gameplay, a new Witcher 3 video has sprung up this week. This time, instead of showcasing the graphics or the vastness of the world, this new animated video tackles the lore of CD Projekt Red’s beloved CRPG series and aims to fill new gamers in on what exactly they’ll be fighting against this May.

For those worried about spoilers, there aren’t any. The video is mostly ancient lore and pre-Witcher 1 information that explains the dark side of magic, the constant warring between kings, and the origins of the Wild Hunt. Overall, a great way to get new followers into the series without them having to read through the books or finishing the previous two games.
