The Swapper is an award winning puzzle platformer by Facepalm Games, and it’s coming to Playstation devices thanks to Curve Studios. This is the final game in Curve’s month long campaign of games being confirmed to be ported to Playstation.
The game is set on a damaged space station and research facility named Theseus. This facility is described as a “claustrophobic, dark, and atmospheric environment”, but also totally unique in its own way. This game has no pixel art or blocky voxels, instead you’ll see gorgeous 3D renders that are all handcrafted by the developers.
Your mission in The Swapper is to escape the space station, a place that is mostly abandoned and yet self-sustaining. You’ll have to solve puzzles by creating up to four clones of yourself, you’ll be able to switch between all four in order to progress. The environment was designed to tell a story in itself alongside the dialogue, creating a totally immersive experience that Curve is working diligently to port perfectly to Playstation devices.
The Swapper is on track to release across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita some time in May.
