We’ve learned (via NeoGAF) that Sony recently unlocked more RAM for developers to make use of, with the Playstation Vita.
The news comes from this year’s Unite Tokyo conference, where Sony took to the stage to announce that firmware update 2.50 (which recently hit the handheld) did more than just enable 60 FPS remote play streaming – it unlocked 30% more RAM for developers to use.
This is certainly an amazing bit of news – it makes you wonder if Sony could have just done this from the get-go, and why they decided to do this now.
