If you haven’t heard about The Great Rebellion yet it’s an “Anti-woke” indie game being made by KVLTGAMES. Featuring levels that vilify socio-political figures, The Great Rebellion might be as much satire as propaganda on the Alex Jones NWO Wars level of absurdity.
KVLTGAMES reached out to us to inform us about their sudden ban on Steam in Germany and said that they asked Valve exactly what about their game makes it unsuitable for sale in Germany, but the only correspondence they’ve received from Steam Support as pictured below:
If I had to guess based on what I’ve seen in the press kit for The Great Rebellion, satirizing popular pop singers, LGBT stereotypes, and turning political figures around the world into bad guys is probably on the no-no list in the former lands of that dude with the awful mustache.

The Great Rebellion is a 2D platformer, shooter and Rogue-like. The game is set in a cyberpunk dystopian future Europe, in the year 2085. The world is controlled by technocratic elites who seek to register everything on the blockchain, achieve digital immortality, and transcend their human bodies. They will stop at nothing and sacrifice anybody to achieve this. You play as a hero who – in true dystopian tradition – is set free of the authoritarian system and finds themselves as part of a larger rebellion.
The player will find new laser weapons, upgrades, and companions to help fight through the levels and defeat the bosses. The Great Rebellion uses a level generation algorithm ensuring that no two playthroughs will be the same.
