The First Descendant crossplay open beta gets delayed

Nexon’s upcoming third-person shooter The First Descendant will launch its crossplay open beta a bit later.

The crossplay beta will forgo its previously planned August dates for a launch next month – from September 19th through the 25th.


Today, NEXON Korea and NEXON Games announced that its upcoming The First Descendant crossplay beta will be fully open to anyone who registers on Nexon’s official site. The Open Beta dates have been adjusted to September 19-25, 2023 to ensure that all enlisted Descendants are able to experience the title optimally on any platform of their choice.

New features and improvements have come directly from players’ previous beta feedback found on Discord and other official channels, prioritizing optimized performance and significant quality-of-life adjustments.

The open beta promises performance enhancements, quality-of-life improvements, new gameplay content, and exclusive beta rewards.

The First Descendant‘s Open Beta will be available and free to play on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S starting September 19, 2023.
