The popular web series The Amazing Digital Circus is getting an official manga adaptation in Corocoro magazine.
The series premiered last October from indie animation studio Glitch Productions, the series follows Pomni, a young woman trapped in a digital world with an aesthetic reminiscent of 90s “edutainment” games. Pomni, along with other people also trapped in the digital world, are all but forced to go along with the whims of Caine, the AI controlling the program or risk going insane from the tedium of being trapped.
Excited to announce Digital Circus is becoming a manga in Japan!!! Starting in October, Corocoro magazine will be recreating Pomni's episode 1 trauma in beautiful print form💖 https://t.co/03Y847Fg64

The series became a quick sensation and passed over 50 million views in two weeks, the second episode which dropped this past May got over a million views in mere hours.
The Amazing Digital Circus is (un)surprisingly popular in Japan, and has hosted pop up stores and other fan events.
The series is expected to follow the events of the show, but given that it’s releasing at a rate of about 3 episodes per year, we’re unsure of the manga will be on a similar release schedule, or maybe there will be manga-only filler to pad things out. But that’s just wishful thinking.
