When our first report for Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War & Nightmare went up, we had no confirmed platforms for the title.
Following the game’s Playstation 4 confirmation via Sony’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference, we’ve now learned (via Famitsu) the historical action game is also coming to Playstation 3 and Xbox One.
The remake of the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 original features two different forms of progression. In the Hundred Years’ War segment of the game, you’ll play through various iconic battles as they were in the actual Hundred Years’ War between France and Great Britain. These battles will involve historical figures like Edward, the Black Prince of Wales and even the shield maiden, Joan of Arc.
There’s a brand new portion of the game dubbed the “Nightmare”, which lets you fight battles in a fantasy theme filled with dragons, goblins, and so on. You can even utilize these monsters yourself, to further your own successes in battle. This time, in Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War & Nightmare, you can even switch between different platoons of warriors, to allow for more tactical combat.
A release date for Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War & Nightmare was not confirmed.
