Telenet Shooting Collection coming to PC

Edia has announced a PC release for their Telenet Shooting Collection, classic Telenet shoot ’em up games from the 90s.

Telenet Shooting Collection is coming to Windows PC (via Steam) earlier next month, on November 10th. The collection was released for Switch in Japan back in June of 2023 and for the west in September 2023.

The games will be available for PC via the Telenet Shooting Collection Launcher, which is a free app, and each game will be sold as individual DLC for $4.99 for a piece.

Here’s a rundown on the collection, plus a new trailer:

Telenet Shooting Collection Launcher lets players download four iconic titles, beloved by retro gaming fans, for $4.99 each:

  • Granada: A fast-paced, all-direction scrolling tank shooter. Players pilot the armored vehicle Granada, strategically fixing fire direction to overcome waves of enemies and massive bosses.
  • Avenger: A futuristic strategic helicopter shooter with mission-based branching scenarios and punishing difficulty. Pilot the cutting-edge combat chopper Avenger and reclaim the superweapon VOLOS.
  • Gaiares: An inventive shooter where players absorb enemy weapons and turn them into their own devastating arsenal. As the pilot, defend Earth against the invaders in a desperate fight for survival.
  • Psychic Storm: A two-player cooperative shooter packed with massive bosses, unique fighter transformations, and the ultimate “Psychic Storm” attack.

Enhanced for Steam Players

While faithfully preserving the original expressions and designs of the PC Engine and Mega Drive versions, the Steam editions offer a variety of modern enhancements, including:

  • Customizable key configurations and rewind function for smoother gameplay
  • Video filter and display settings for a tailored retro experience
  • Full Steam Input support for a wide range of controllers
  • Steam Achievements added to each game

Each title will be available as individual DLCs for $4.99 USD, playable through the Telenet Shooting Collection Launcher.
