Bandai Namco released a new video in celebration of the Tales of series’ 30th anniversary, giving a fun retrospective on the entire RPG series.

The original game in the series, Tales of Phantasia, launches today in Japan – December 15th, 1995 – for the Super Famicom.

“The Tales of series celebrated its 30th anniversary on December 15, 2025,” the company said in a new message. “Thirty years of history, woven together with your support—this milestone is not an ending, but the beginning of a new journey. We will continue to pursue the timeless essence of Tales of and weave stories together with you.”

The latest release in the series, Tales of Xillia Remastered, was released back in October 2025 for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PS5. A remaster for Tales of Xillia 2 is also in development.
