Switch 2 amiibo

Nintendo has announced Nintendo Switch 2 will support their amiibo figurines, starting with the recently announced Street Fighter 6 port for the console.

The first three amiibo releases for Switch 2 will include: Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly – all of which are launching alongside the game and Switch 2.

Street Fighter 6 is coming to Switch 2 in both a standard release and a big, all-inclusive Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighter Edition day and date with the Switch 2 launch on June 5th.

Here’s the new details:

Collectible amiibo™ and amiibo Cards

  • New amiibo Figures and Cards – Street Fighter 6 will be releasing collectable amiibo figures of fan-favorite characters Luke, Jamie, and Kimberly, available at launch alongside the release of the Nintendo Switch 2. You can also grab collectible amiibo cards with the Starter Pack featuring all 22 characters from Street Fighter 6 through Year 1. Booster packs will also be available in the future, with new characters and designs. These amiibo figures and cards can be loaded into the game, unlocking exclusive in-game content.

Customize and save your character’s outfit and button settings to the amiibo figures/cards and load them immediately into the game. You can also use the Ryu and Ken amiibo figures from Super Smash Bros.™ for even more fun.
  • Rewards – Each figure and card you collect, including the Ryu and Ken amiibo figures from Super Smash Bros., unlocks a range of exclusive rewards. For both amiibo figures and cards, you will receive character-specific device wallpapers and photo frames. Furthermore, amiibo figure owners will also receive exclusive BGM, Device Wallpaper, and Photo Frame!
