Nintendo has announced they’re delaying Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders while they assess the impact of U.S. President Donald Trump’s aggressive tariff policies.
While the Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders were set to go live on April 9th, that date has been postponed as Nintendo will “assess the potential impact of tariffs and evolving market conditions.”
The new statement confirms the Switch 2 pre-orders are delayed, for now, though its global street date of June 5th “remains unchained.”
If tariffs negatively affect the market enough in such a way to affect the production of the Switch 2, it’s possible the console will see a slight price hike.
