GungHo Online Entertainment has announced their PAX East 2016 lineup of games, and standing atop the list (for us at least) is Goichi “Suda51” Suda’s Let It Die.
The free-to-play, brutal survival game will be playable on the showfloor for the very first time in public. To celebrate, three new screenshots were revealed for the game, which you can view above as well as below.
For those who haven’t been following Let It Die, the game was originally conceived and revealed publicly as Lily Bergamo, an action game with a female protagonist and somewhat of a colorful style.
Some internal decisions were made and the game’s protagonist, Tae Ioroi, was scrapped while the asynchronous online component, its “super action” mentality powering its brutal combat were kept in.
The game itself now involves AI opponents that have their behavior influenced by actual players. If you die, your character and his or her gear will become an enemy within someone else’s game, via a system that is likened to a cloud server.
PAX East goes down from April 22nd through April 24th.
